RHI Normag built a new factory for production of magnesium on Herøya in Porsgrunn, Norway. The factory was ready in 2012. Tratec Solutions supplied a complete system for crushing, screening and optical sorting for RHI Normag.

process description: Crushed
magnesium baths are loaded into 3 receiving pockets w / vibratory feeders. The
material is then transported to 3 jaw crushers, and is crushed down from 400 mm
to 90 mm size. After this process is completed, the material is lifted up on
screening machines which again distribute it via vibrating conveyors to 4 silos
w / vibratory output feeding. The material within the 4 silos are then
distributed to optical sorting machines, which distributes the material through
as finished product or to recycling.
